About the Atlantic Biorefinery Conference
The Atlantic Biorefinery Conference is going into its fourth year. What started out as an idea for a small Atlantic event around current issues in biorefining, has exploded into a 100+ delegate conference that attracts international presenters and spawns strategic partnerships. The Atlantic Biorefinery Conference is the premier biorefining and bioprocessing conference in Atlantic Canada and continues to grow every year.
The conference theme "Field, Forest, & Ocean" reflects the range of biomass currently being transformed with cutting-edge technologies by innovators in Canada and around the world. The Atlantic region is home to diversified natural resource sectors that are well positioned for innovation. The Atlantic Biorefinery Conference is the region's flagship initiative for fostering strategic partnerships between industry, research, and decision makers.
This year's conference is being hosted in Edmundston, New Brunswick at la Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick and the Edmundston Convention Centre. Forestry is one of Edmundston's major industries with several sawmills and plants in the vicinity, so parts of this year's program will focus on forestry technologies and innovations.
