From Research to Commercialization
An Atlantic Canadian Bioeconomy
The research and development taking place behind-the-scenes within the bioeconomy in Atlantic Canada are complex and fascinating. The path to commercialization for a bio-based innovation can take decades. With a global focus on climate change and decarbonizing our economy, there remains huge potential for our resource-based economy to contribute to a global climate mitigation strategy, however, it is up to us to reduce the gap between research, innovation and the products we now can’t live without in our daily lives.
BioNB along with partners Nova Scotia Innovation Hub, CCNB-INNOV, and IGNITE Atlantic want to help you better understand the journey from research to commercialization and the players participating here in our backyard.
